In order to win a championship you have to have the right people who will battle for each other and at the end of the day they are willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win." "I never heard one of them say a negative comment about the other guy through out the whole season. "It was never about (I) with these two guys, it was always about (us) and how they could help the team win ," Coach Brian commented. They understand the importance of supporting the guy who is called upon to start, each guy knew his role throughout the season and they worked great tog ether. These two guys have a mutual respect for one another and compliment each other perfectly. Throughout the season both goalies competed against each other and pushed each other in every practice to prepare themselves for the ultimate goal of winning gold at the National Champion ships. Che ckers on the map and we are proud to have been working with each of them consistently throughout the last three seasons. I have always said you can control a few things each and every time you train and how hard you work is definitely at the top of the list. He understands the importance of working hard and having a good attitude. John has a passion to outwork his competition. He is an intense competitor and when he puts his mask on its time to go to work. John did an amazing job of showing up ready to work for each and every trainin session. Old School Goal School would like to thank Spencer for being a model student during camp and congratulations on receiving the Best Attitude Trophy! He was a great leader over the 8 weeks of training and I know the younger goalies look up to the way he conducts himself during our training. He brings a certain amount of enthusiasm to our training sessions that helps all of our goalies. Spencer showed up to all of our on-ice and off-ice training sessions with a winners attitude. We are pleased with his improvement and he received the Most Improved Trophy for his efforts during the camp. Intensity and focus will help continue his development. He is understanding the importance of focusing on getting better at one skill each time he is on the ice. Mitchell has come a long way in a short period of time. We were able to improve on some weaknesses in his game to help him become a more well rounded goaltender. Mitchell worked hard throughout the 8 week program.
